Mothers’ Union At our June meeting, Margaret Follett brought to our attention how Anglicare has a great need in our Community, she mentioned that unfortunately the number of people in need is rising fast . Hospital visits: Lorna Parke updated us on her Neerim South Hospital visits. Mary and Peter Knight will be doing this months visits. Still need more people to assist with these visits . Anyone interested will need a police check at $32.50, a resume`, this then to be forwarded to the hospital with 100 point check ie. License / passport, plus a letter from Rev Amy. President Joan welcomed our guests Kath and Wal Willems – They spoke on the many joys of helping to raise their grandchildren. Some points of interest: To have rules - keep things in prospective eg. TV time- for some precious and rich time encourage singing and poetry reading. Children live on their heritage when taught about where they come from. Quite a few funny snippets made this an enjoyable afternoon. Kath and Wal sang the Psalm which was sung at their wedding “ Blessed are those that fear the Lord “. Hostess for next meeting Rita and Barbara. Birthday wishes and a bouquet was presented to Anne Connelly.
