What’s On In The Parish

 

The Festival of the Christian Year.

 

Our new Worship Centre was shown to its full advantage during this years Festival of the Christian Year.  There was a large attendance but, unlike previous years, they were accommodated with ease.  It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the beauty and the spaciousness of the new Centre.  There were people from most of the Drouin Churches and from Drouin Rotary.

The evening consisted of a number of readings covering the life of Christ interspersed with appropriate hymns and two delightful solos presented by Lynne and Paul Davine.  The readers included some of our own parishioners, representatives from the Combined Churches of Drouin and a member of Drouin Rotary

The music was provided by Bruce Armstrong on the cornet and Jill Lawrence on the organ.

At the end of the Festival the people moved to the Parish Hall for supper.

 

 

Bruce Armstrong on his cornet and Jill Lawrence on the organ supplied  the music accompaniment for all the communal singing. 

 

 

 

 Paul Davine Sang a delightful solo;

“Where you there when they crucified my Lord”.

 

 

Lynne Davine gave a very moving rendition of the lovely hymn;

“I know that my  redeemer lives”.
